Fed from the high Sierra snowmelt, Well One is used exclusively for Bently Heritage operations. The special water that rises from this well is the reason we chose "Source One" as the name for our vodka: we were inspired by the purity of the high mountain snowpack, and the journey this water takes down the mountains and into the natural aquifer below Carson Valley.

This water plant was developed in 1907 to supply the town. Improvements to the system made in 1965 provided a complete circle of water availability around town. Water was pulled up through the shaft by means of an electric pump, then stored in a pressure tank that could produce 200 gallons a minute.

An ancient riverbed forms the aquifer, which provided Nevada’s most pristine water throughout the early 1900s.

Still in use today, Well One provides water to Bently Heritage which is used in the distillation process.

The Bently Heritage tasting room is a special place for people to enjoy and be educated not only on Bently Heritage, but distilling in general. Here, visitors can experience tours, tastings, or bespoke cocktails that are only available at our distillery.

While you enjoy your drink at the tasting bar, expansive views are seen throughout. Whether you’re looking at the Eastern slope of the Sierra, or catching a glimpse of the distillers in our single malt production area, your experience is sure to be nothing short of world-class.
