Kim received a certificate in hotel and restaurant management from Diablo Valley College before heading to The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY where she received her associate's degree in Culinary Arts. After cooking for several years in Napa Valley, Kim transitioned to luxury hotels in San Francisco and Half Moon Bay, where she focused on catering sales and event planning. She received her CMP (certified meeting professional) designation in 2005.
Kim loves to cook for family and friends, focusing on seasonality and a farm-to-table approach. She also spends time with her husband and dog outdoors, exploring lakes and rivers as often as possible. As live music fans, they enjoy traveling throughout the US to music venues, finding local dining and outdoor activities wherever we go.
