Carlo likes to joke that his current job involves being in charge of the government. Previously, he held the role of General Manager for Bently Biofuels Company. Before joining the Bently companies he worked at Costner Industries in Carson City, Nevada and held management positions at various other environmental technology companies.
He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Nevada — Reno, a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, and studied Environmental Science in the graduate school at Rutgers University.
As part of the executive team at Bently Enterprises, Carlo helps wherever help is needed in navigating the murky waters of the County, State, and Federal government. His varied business interests include community and economic development, agriculture, transportation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy.
As a member of the business community, Carlo sits on the boards of the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce, Carson Valley Visitors Authority, and Business Council of Douglas County. In his free time, he lends his expertise to Douglas County and the Carson Valley Trails Association where he helps develop trails, Alta Alpina Cycling Club where he is involved in bicycle advocacy, and as a licensed coach with the Nevada Interscholastic Cycling League.
When not pursuing his passion for the environment he can be found skiing, cycling, kayaking, or hiking near his home in the Carson Valley, which he shares with his wife, two children and rescue dog Lucy.
